Border Belles is a hardy herbaceous plant nursery in South East Scotland approximately half-way between Edinburgh and Berwick upon Tweed. While we grow many unusual plants we also hold a stock of the more traditional garden favourites. Our website operates primarily as an on-line shop where plants can be purchased for delivery throughout the UK. It also offers information about the nursery itself, our opening times and events which we attend throughout the country should you be unable to visit the nursery in person.Featured Products
Hepatica
Great plants for a shady site in a rock or woodland garden. The bowl shaped, usually blue flowers open before the leaves unfurl. Humus-rich, moist but well drained soil.

Epimedium
Barrenwort, Bishop's Mitre
Good ground cover under trees and shrubs or in a shady border flowering from spring to early summer. Partial shade and well drained soil. Some are evergreen in which case remove old growth in late winter or early spring before flower spikes form.
